Experts say, coaching is particularly effective in times of change for an executive. That includes promotions, stretch assignments, and other new challenges. While you may be confident in your abilities to take on new tasks, you may feel that an independent sounding board would be beneficial in helping you achieve a new level of performance, especially if close confidants are now reporting to you. You may recognize that succeeding in a new role requires skills that you have not needed to rely on in the past; a coach will help sharpen those skills, particularly when you need to do so on the fly.
Using a feedback tool is also a way to gain an understanding of how others perceive you: We have all heard that perception is reality. At The Coaching Mirror, we can offer a 360 evaluation to assist in the coaching process or work with previously received assessments and feedback.
How is a 360 or other evaluation tool used in coaching?
If an executive is already aware of specific areas
needing focus, we can begin there. Otherwise we can begin with information from the 360 degree Evaluation. We work with each executive one-on-one to support his/her professional development. As you work with us you and your coach will determine the target areas in which you want to see measurable growth. You will define specific goals, leverage your strengths and remove barriers; all of which empowers you to take the steps to your success.
